Alex Kidd in Shinobi World

2001-12-06
From: Psionic Storm
Comments: I never Played Shinobi, But i did play this game. And to tell you the Truth, I Loved it. It was the only Alex Kidd game that didn\'t drive me to utter madness (Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars Screaming Alex Anyone? :P). It was fun. (Although, VERY difficult in the later stages. the music was kinda cool in a few levels though). I\'m not an avid fan of platformers (and yet i like Sonic the Hedgehog, Psycho Fox and Psychic World. Hmmm...) - But this one was cool.

Alex Kidd: the Lost Stars

From: Psionic Storm
Comments: Let\'s Face it. This has *not* been a good show. Although a few of the levels were rather creative (Heh - Kidd gettin\' Swallowed by a Giant! :P), Others were just plain annoying (\"B-O-W-W-O-W\" Dogs anyone?), A bit of the music was fun... But that\'s it. Don\'t you HATE that scream he makes when he gets hit? This is the Second-Worst Alex Kidd Title. I didn\'t give it a 1 just because Alex Kidd in High-Tech World was even worse.

After Burner

Comments: After Burner was fun as a 3d Game... Although i was never good at this kind of Games. I preferred Aerial Assault (Which, Ironically, Isn\'t even mentioned on the site!) Which Ruled and had Great Music. After Burner\'s One Droning Track of Music could really drive one to Madness.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land

Comments: My Second Favorite Wonder Boy Title. I first ran into it in an Arcade Hall, And immediately liked it. It just Ruled. It was very hard to find for the SMS, but i found it. By the way - Here\'s a bit of Info. There\'s a Hidden boss, Called the King Demon, Who holds the Legendary Sword. I don\'t recall just where he dwells, but without the Legendary Sword you don\'t really stand a chance against the dragon, Let alone against MEKA...

Comments: Hmm.. Tough call there. on one hand i liked it - you could spend hours away just by playing. on the other hand it frustrated me and... ACK! EVIL MUSIC! not to mention the Lightning-Throwing Bosses, Bah. What fascinates me is this - HOW many HEADS does ONE guy have?

Comments: I Didn\'t make that much of a progress in Sonic 2 for the Master System (Got stumped by that Damned Train Boss Creature... :P), But i liked it anyway. It was an interesting game. Then again, i Always loved Sonic :P

Comments: Sonic Rules, and Chaos was Fun. ALTHOUGH it was more than a bit insane, there were a few nice-looking stages, and the music was fun.

Comments: Let\'s face it. It\'s not its Genesis Version! It\'s Better :P Although i never got past the Jungle Zone, I Enjoyed the music in this game (Ever noticed that if you listen to the Bridge Zone theme for a bit, it sounds a bit like a modified version of the \"Full House\" Series theme?) :P But the Chaos Emeralds were Fragmentation-Grenadin\' Impossible to get! Ten out of Ten. Superb. Still, I love Sonic Games, so i can\'t help it :P

Comments: Evil. Plain Evil. And Annoying. Worst game of its series. In my opinion anyway. Even Worse than Screamer-Alex-Kidd-The-Lost-Stars. Heck, Even Worse then the Side-Scrolling Zelda Games it was ment to Imitate!

Comments: A very nice all-around platform game, the cut-scenes were cool and some of the monsters were cool too. what i think, however, is that a plotline like this could have made a great RPG. one of the best sega games in my opinion, one thing i CAN'T understand is - why is the game so darn impossible? ;)

Phantasy Star

From: Psionic Storm
Comments: This is the Best RPG the Master System Ever had, if not the best SMS game in history. Being the Father and Mother of the greatest RPG series ever(Except for its final part - "Phantasy Star Online", WHICH IS THE LAMEST PART OF THE SERIES EVER - and i don't count PS3 because i loved it.) Besides, The game was pretty tough, and when i first played it that entire "DarkFalz" schtick took me totally by surprise. you won't believe how many times i had to load the game just to kill it!!!) Not bad for a Prophallus. anyhows - i think my point is clear - PHANTASY STAR FOREVER!!!

Psycho Fox

From: Psionic Storm
Comments: "Psycho" Fox indeed. Psychotic Platform action, Annoying Springy guys, A Shapeshifting Fox, Various Candy, Impossible bonus levels - Nothing else to say. if i didn't like Psychic World and Sonic so much i would have defined it as the *best* platformer that ever Graced the SMS.

Comments: While it is a Zelda Ripoff, and i hate Action RPGs, this game is still cool.the GFX rocked, the tree cutting schtick was cool, and the monsters were cool too... By the way - was that an attempt to make an Action RPG with the Golden Axe Plot?
